Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Elite Eye Care a proud provider of vision care products and services in Plattsmouth and Ashland.

Andrea J. Carda, O.D.

Dr. Andrea Carda has been practicing Optometry in the Omaha area since June 2011. As an eye care provider, Dr. Carda is committed to providing quality eye examinations as well as educating her patients on the importance of proper ocular health. Her services include comprehensive eye exams, diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, contact lens fittings, and surgical co-management.

Dr. Carda graduated with honors from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2009 and continued to practice and enjoy Chicago for the next couple of years.

Originally from Brandon, South Dakota, Dr. Carda has called Nebraska home since June 2011. Dr. Carda enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as experiencing all that Nebraska has to offer.

Leah J. Stevens, O.D.

Born and raised in Columbus, NE, Dr. Leah Stevens received her Bachelor’s degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University where she played soccer.

Dr. Stevens has been practicing optometry in the Omaha area since 2017 after graduating with her Doctorate from Indiana University School of Optometry. Her services include comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, and surgical co-management.

Dr. Stevens loves staying active whether it’s on the lake or on the slopes, playing sand volleyball, or on the golf course. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Catherine J. Weeder, O.D.

Dr. Weeder is excited to join the Elite Eye Care team. Dr. Weeder received her Bachelor’s degree from Creighton and her Doctorate of Optometry from Ohio State University.

She completed an Advanced Practice Externship at Columbus Ophthalmology Associates in Ohio and an Ocular Disease Externship at the Southern Arizona VA Medical Center in Tucson. Dr. Weeder provides primary vision care, and takes particular interest in managing glaucoma and dry eye disease.

A native from Albion, NE, Dr. Weeder enjoys helping her parents on the family farm and spending time with her husband, Danny.
